All types of steel girders including  Box Girders are being designed & fabricated for supporting the Deck System of the bridge and flyovers. These girders are supported by concrete or steel piers  from the ground level.

Steel piers are for supporting the overhead steel girders & deck system and  for transferring the loads to the foundation at ground level. Main advantage of steel piers is its erection can be possible within a night whereas construction of concrete piers at site takes a lot of time.
